I am currently reading Reading The Bible With Rabbi Jesus by Lois Tverberg and also The Peacemaker by Ken Sande. I enjoy both books. I looked through the summer reading list that you have posted and I decided that this summer I will read one book from each list; so, I am going to read The Jesus Creed and Team Of Teams (I have not read any thing by either author before so I am eager to read their perspectives).
Thank you for your reading list, Greg!
I’m starting to read “I’ll Push You … a journey of 500 miles, two best friends and one wheelchair.” Patrick Gray and Justin Skeesuck — about their journey through Spain on the El Camino de Santiago.
I always come back to John Ortberg’s “Soul Keeping.”
Have a great summer, all!
Great list Greg, two I always come back to is Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning and Out of Solitude by Henri Nouwen. In fact, I end up coming back to a lot of Nouwen’s work.
With having three young kids, my summer reading list is short! ☺️ I’m reading “A Bigger Table” by John Pavlovitz.
Thanks for the recommendations! Always looking for rich books to read.
I am reading Knowing th Face of God by Tim Stafford, Prayer by Philip Yancey, Waking Up White by Debby Irving, and Side by Side: Parallel Histories of Isreal-Palestine by Adwan, Bar-On, Naveh, and PRIME.
Books I keep coming back to are the Jesus I Never Knew and What’s So Amazing About Grace by Philip Yancey and The Prodigal God by Timothy Keller.
Just finished Just As I Am, the autobiography of Billy Graham, Long life- long read but was worth it. What an amazing impact he made with his life taking the message of Christ to the entire world!
Transforming Grace (by Jerry Bridges), The Screwtape Letters (by C.S. Lewis), No Easy Jesus (by Jason Mitchell… from our Crossing bookstore).
I read another book recently that is classified as a “kids chapter book,” (not a Christian book by definition, but very redemptive story) it’s phenomenonal… Fish in a Tree, (by Lynda Hunt)
Amazing Truths, How the Bible and Science Agree by Dr. Michael Guillen
I read sections of The Divine Conspiracy for a college course. I told myself that after the semester ended I would read the entire book… It’s been a few years and it’s still waiting on my bookshelf. I’ll change that this summer!
Just finished Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus & No God But One, both by Nabeel Qureshi. I highly recommend them! Also read The Reason for God by Timothy Keller…loved it!
