GREG’S STORY

Greg Holder is passionate about bringing the ancient truth of scripture to light in fresh ways, calling people from an unlikely mix of spiritual backgrounds to consider what it means to follow Jesus in today’s world.

Greg and his wife, Robin, live in the St. Louis area nearby their daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren.

With a diverse assortment of interests, gifts and training, including degrees in psychology and counseling, Greg brings unique insight into the development of God-honoring relationships.  In 1997, Greg accepted the position of lead pastor at The Crossing, a small startup church in the St. Louis area with less than 100 people. Over 20 years later, The Crossing reaches 10,000 people in person and online.

In all of his projects, Greg’s passion for scripture combines with his unique brand of humor and storytelling. The Genius of One, is about developing healthy culture—why it matters and how to get there. Greg has taught these principles to churches, pastors, and business leaders around the world. His follow-up book, Never Settle, is a practical roadmap for anyone who feels that their faith is lukewarm and bland.

Greg is an author/co-creator of the Advent Conspiracy movement. Through the movement and free resources, thousands of churches and families around the globe have decided to celebrate Christmas in a counter-cultural way. As a contributing writer for The Voice, a new translation of scripture, Greg had the privilege of translating the book of Jeremiah.

Check out the blog or tune into his new podcast, A Godzillion and One, for sometimes messy, always honest, fun and freewheeling conversations with deep thinkers and difference-makers.

Over the last two decades, the impact of Greg’s ministry has spread outside of St. Louis. He speaks at a variety of conferences and churches around the world about leadership, culture, unity, and calling.
